DOCPORTER - Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms", "Terms and Conditions") carefully before using the DocPorter website (the "Service") operated by DocPorter Inc. ("us", "we", or "our").

Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you may not access the Service.

1. Description of Service

DocPorter provides a suite of web-based PDF tools designed to convert, compress, organize, edit, and secure document files. While we strive for "Fast • Clean • Secure" processing, we do not guarantee that the Service will meet your specific requirements or be available on an uninterrupted, secure, or error-free basis.

2. User Responsibilities and Conduct

By using our tools, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Ownership: You are the owner of the files you upload, or you have express permission from the owner to edit, convert, or modify them.
  • Legality: You will not upload any content that is illegal, offensive, violates intellectual property rights, or contains malware/viruses.
  • "Unlock PDF" Tool: When using our Unlock PDF tool, you warrant that you have the legal right to remove the password protection from the file. You agree not to use this tool to infringe on copyright or bypass digital rights management (DRM) for which you do not have authorization.

3. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding files uploaded by users), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of DocPorter Inc. and its licensors.

Your Files: We claim no intellectual property rights over the documents you upload. As stated in our Privacy Policy, we do not read or mine your content.

4. Disclaimers regarding Specific Tools

  • Conversion Accuracy: While we use advanced technology for tools like PDF to Word or PDF to Excel, we cannot guarantee that the formatting of the converted file will match the original 100%. Layouts, fonts, and images may shift.
  • File Repair: The Repair PDF tool is provided on an "as-is" basis. We do not guarantee that corrupted data can be recovered. In some cases, damage to a file may be irreversible.
  • Compression Quality: The Compress PDF tool aims to reduce file size without "wrecking quality". However, significant compression may result in a visible loss of resolution in images.

5. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall DocPorter Inc., nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

  • Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service;
  • Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service;
  • Any content obtained from the Service;
  • Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.

6. Links to Other Web Sites

Our Service may contain links to third-party web sites or services, such as the Google Play Store, that are not owned or controlled by DocPorter Inc.

DocPorter Inc. has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party web sites or services. You further acknowledge and agree that DocPorter Inc. shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any such content, goods, or services available on or through any such web sites or services.

7. Changes to Service

We reserve the right to withdraw or amend our Service, and any service or material we provide via the Service, in our sole discretion without notice. We will not be liable if for any reason all or any part of the Service is unavailable at any time or for any period.
